My upbringing was in Manitoba and it was in Northern Manitoba where my life adventure really took off.... While teaching in a fly in only community, I met my then bush pilot husband over 30 years ago. We eventually moved from Winnipeg to Thunder Bay in 1998, where Erwin was originally from.

We have two grown children; Marc who lives in Alberta and living in Toronto are Adrienne her husband Domenic and their new baby Loenne Prairie. Marc is working in economic development and Adrienne is a stay at home mom and a fashion designer (www.butikofer.com) while Dom is an electrician. A granddaughter joined our family with Loenne Prairie entering the scene in April 2009.

Erwin and I and our cat Tucker live on the shores of Lake Superior where we take advantage of such outdoor sports as kayaking, snowshoeing, hiking and skiing to name a few. I like to read, can sew and garden but I am a self-professed volunteer -a-holic.

I am on the organizing committee of Camp Quality Northwestern Ontario
(www.campquality.com) supporting kids with cancer and their families and on the executive of the Neebing Fire Rescue Association where we raise funds for the Volunteer Emergency Services. I also donate plasma.

Now a retired teacher, my current business is named New Direction Management and I bid on short contracts event planning . I also sell Norwex products as you can see!
